Night Monitor (Chaperone)

Seasonal Per Diem Independent Contractor

Our Night Monitors provide safety services for student groups by enforcing curfew and managing noise levels. You will work at various lodgings across your residential city and neighboring areas.

You will collaborate with tour directors, group leaders, and other adult chaperones to ensure students remain in their rooms, and prohibit visitors and deliveries during curfew hours.

You must be comfortable managing students of various ages. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m., with flexible scheduling.

Peak Season: 4th week of February to 2nd week of June
Off-Peak Season: 3rd week of June to 3rd week of February

Responsibility & Duties

Qualifications for the Job

Enforce curfew and manage noise levels for student groups.
Work at various lodgings within your residential city and neighboring cities.
Collaborate with tour directors, group leaders, and other adult chaperones.
Ensure students remain inside their lodging rooms.
Prohibit visitors and deliveries during curfew hours.
Manage students of various ages comfortably.
Work flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Qualifications for the Job

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must have reliable transportation (most jobs are not accessible via public transportation).
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to provide feedback reports.
Must have an active email address.
Must have a cell phone with text messaging capabilities for communication.
Must be available to work overnight.
Must possess strong customer service skills.
Must adhere to Orange Moon’s mandatory uniform policy (contractors will purchase their own uniform shirt; this expense can be filed with the IRS as a tax deduction).
Must maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Must consent to a background check (the cost can be filed with the IRS as a tax deduction).
Must complete mandatory company training (unpaid, approximately 113.5 minutes, to be completed within 4 days).
