Before Your Assignment

How Can I Prepare for My Assignment?

Review the details. All information about the assignment can be found on your scheduling calendar, requested bookings, and the "Today's Booking" tab (accessible on the day of the assignment). 

I've Already Accepted an Assignment, But Now I Need to Back Out. What Should I Do?

If you need to withdraw from an accepted assignment, the procedure varies based on your notice timeframe:


  • Cancellation with 48 Hours' Notice or More: If you provide at least 48 hours' notice before the assignment starts, no penalties will be incurred.
  • Cancellation within 48 Hours of Assignment: If you need to cancel within 48 hours of the start time, you will receive one point as a consequence.


To allow others the opportunity to take up the assignment, follow these steps:


  1. Access the website app.orangemoonsss.com or the Orange Moon mobile app.
  2. Navigate to the "Scheduling" section.
  3. On the calendar, choose the assignment date you wish to cancel, labeled as "Booked."
  4. Select "Cancel" to initiate the cancellation process.


Alternatively, you can:


  1. Explore the "Requested Bookings" section.
  2. Within the "Accepted Bookings" or "All Bookings" tab, locate the relevant date.
  3. Utilize the "Cancel" icon to initiate the cancellation.


If the 48-hour cancellation window has elapsed, reach out to the admin for assistance.


As a valued member of the Orange Moon community, we encourage you to approach such situations thoughtfully and consider the impact on our customers and fellow workers. Providing ample notice contributes to the smooth operation of our network.

I've Got an Assignment. What's the Best Way to Work It?

You were hired at Orange Moon because we believe you possess the qualities to succeed and provide excellent service to our customers and student groups.


Your role involves monitoring student travelers to ensure their safety and comfort, similar to the security they experience at home. This enriching endeavor demands vigilance and attentiveness, balancing firmness and politeness.


Remember:


  • Punctuality matters.
  • Adhere to the designated uniform.
  • Maintain professionalism.
  • Stay visible.
  • Remain vigilant.
  • Be attentive.


Treat the students as you would want your own loved ones to be treated – with safety, respect, encouragement, and genuine care.

I'm Running Late to My Assignment! What Should I Do?

If you find yourself running late, take swift and appropriate action. Arriving on time means being ready to start at the scheduled time, usually arriving 10-15 minutes early.


As per our Ethics and Business Conduct Policy,  arriving late results in one point. Not communicating will incur an additional point. So, being late without notifying will lead to a total of two points.


If you're running late, follow these steps:


  1. Immediately contact the tour director via call or text to inform them about the potential delay.
  2. If there's no response, leave a message with the hotel's front desk.
  3. Notify the Orange Moon team through a message about your tardiness and whether you've reached the tour director.


If the tour director advises against your attendance due to lateness, you won't be compensated for that assignment, and you'll receive one point for lateness.

My Assignment Was Canceled, What Happens Now?

We value your dedication and understand the importance of honoring your allocated time for assignments.


Orange Moon customers may cancel assignments anytime before they start. In this case, no action is required on your part, but you won't be compensated for cancellations with more than 2 hours' notice. If another assignment is available within your work location, you can be reassigned and receive full payment.


However, if an assignment is canceled within 2 hours of the start time or while you're en route, and no other assignment is available within your work location, you will be compensated with a payment equivalent to 2 hours.

What is Orange Moon's Guidance for When I Am Too Sick to Work?

If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or any contagious illness, or if you experience any of these symptoms, please refrain from working your assignment:


  • Sore throat, especially with a fever, or new mouth sore.
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the eyes or skin).
  • Diarrhea or vomiting.
  • High fever.
  • Experiencing chills and sweats.
  • Developing a new or altered cough.
