If you can give at least 48 hours notice, you won’t be penalized for dropping the assignment. If you need to drop an assignment within 48 hours from the assignment’s start time, you’ll earn one point.
Here’s how to drop your assignment so others have a chance to claim it:
As part of the Orange Moon community, we hope you can act with respect and consideration for the customers and workers in our network. Please make sure to give enough notice for everyone involved.
You were hired to work at Orange Moon because we believe you possess the qualities to succeed and do some great work for our customers and student groups.
Monitoring student travelers and keeping them, “as safe as they would be at home”, is a rewarding job that requires you to be alert and attentive. You must be both a disciplinarian and friendly…finding the sweet spot in the middle.
Our student groups are away from their parents and those parents are counting on you to keep their children safe.
Treat the students how you would want your own loved ones treated if they were off traveling on tour – you’d want them fully chaperoned (SAFE), respected, encouraged, and cared for!
Being on time means arriving early enough so you’re ready to work at the assignment's start time. Typically this means 10-15 minutes early so you have time to park, greet your tour direct or group leader, and get settled for your assignment.
According to the Ethic and Business Conduct Policy, being late will result in one point. You are expected to call ahead if you’re running late. Failure to do so will result in one additional point, so if you’re late AND you didn’t call ahead, you’ll earn two points total.
If you’re running late, please take the following actions:
If the tour director asks you not to come in due to your tardiness you will not be paid for that assignment, and you will receive one point for being late.
We appreciate your commitment to Orange Moon, and want to respect the time you've set aside for your upcoming assignments.
Orange Moons customers may cancel assignments up to 24 hours before an assignment's start time. In this instance, there's nothing you need to do: when an assignment is cancelled within this time frame you will not be paid.
However, if an Orange Moon customer cancels an assignment 24 hours or less before a assignments start time you will receive payment depending on when the assignment was cancelled. Payment is calculated as follows:
