During Your Assignment

What is Considered "Improper Conduct" Under the Ethics and Business Code Policy?

Instances of improper conduct include, but are not limited to:

  • Failing to comply with dress code and uniform directives.
  • Exhibiting disrespect towards customers or colleagues.
  • Departing from your assignment prematurely without prior communication.

Orange Moon admin reserves the right to assign improper conduct points for instances of unprofessionalism or unpreparedness. It is essential to consistently exercise sound judgment.

I Showed Up for an Assignment, But Was Sent Home by the Tour Director. What Do I Do Now?

  1.  Communication: Ensure you understand the reason you were sent home. Politely ask the tour director for clarification if it wasn't provided initially.
  2. Notify Orange Moon: Inform the Orange Moon admin team about what happened before leaving the location. They need to be aware of any changes to your assignment status and the reasons behind them.
  3. Documentation: If possible, document the details of the situation, including the date, time, the tour director's name, and the reason for your early dismissal. This information may be helpful in case of any future questions.
  4. Stay Available: Remain reachable and ready to work in case there are further instructions from the Orange Moon admin team. They might need to reassign you to another group at or near the service location or provide additional guidance.
  5. Follow Up: If you have any concerns or questions about the situation, communicate with the Orange Moon admin team. They are there to support you and address any queries you may have.

Maintaining open communication with both the tour director and the Orange Moon admin team is key to ensuring a smooth resolution and minimizing disruptions.

Will I Be Paid If Sent Home by the Tour Director?

If there is another group at the location or nearby, you will be reassigned to that group for the opportunity to earn full payment.

If there is not another group you can work with, finalize and submit your assignment report as usual.

The payment for the initial assignment duration varies based on the circumstances of your early dismissal:

  • You will receive payment for 2 hours if the tour director or group leader's decision to send you home early was not related to your behavior or performance. This includes situations like:
    • The group didn't arrive.
    • The customer already had coverage.
    • The group departed early.
    • The customer's request was a misunderstanding.

  • If your early dismissal was due to improper conduct or inability to fulfill the duties outlined in the night monitor description, you will be compensated only for the hours you worked.

If you have any questions or concerns about your payment, reach out to the Orange Moon admin team for clarification.

I'm at an Assignment, But I Want to Leave Early. What Should I Do?

Never leave an assignment early without obtaining approval from the Orange Moon admin. Failure to do so will result in an automatic three-point penalty.

In most cases, it's recommended to fulfill your entire assignment. However, if there's a genuine need to leave early, communicate with the Orange Moon admin on duty first.

Make every effort to remain until a suitable replacement can be arranged. If you handle the situation professionally and receive approval from both the tour director and the Orange Moon admin, leaving early will incur only one point.

I Was Asked to Stay Later Than My Original Assignment End Time. What Should I Do?

You are not obligated to agree if asked to work extended hours; the choice is yours.

Advise the tour director to reach out to Orange Moon at 667-335-1058 to make the request.

Next, notify the on-duty Orange Moon admin about the request.

Should the request for additional hours be approved, you have the option to accept and work those extra hours, but you're not obliged to agree.
