Getting Assignments with Orange Moon

Orange Moon posts available assignments in our contractor platform. Once your onboarding and training are complete, you will have access to these available assignments.

Assignments typically include:

• Location
• Date and start/end times
• Assignment requirements
   

You may review assignment details before choosing whether to accept.

1.  Log in to the Orange Moon platform
2. View available assignments 
3. Select the assignment you wish to accept 
4. Confirm your acceptance in the system
    

When you accept an assignment, you are entering into a binding service agreement for that assignment.

As an independent contractor:

• You are free to accept or decline any assignment offered 
• Assignments become a binding commitment once accepted 
• You may cancel an accepted assignment up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty
   

After the 48-hour window has passed, the assignment is considered a professional commitment, and failure to appear or fulfill the assignment may result in:

• Performance points under our policies 
• Loss of eligibility for future assignments 
• Removal from upcoming assignments

Orange Moon may send automated confirmation requests for assignments that are nearing their scheduled start (e.g., 48 hours prior). Responding Yes confirms your availability and represents your professional commitment to perform the assignment.

Before beginning service, you may be required to complete a self-attestation to confirm you are fit, alert, and able to safely perform the assignment. This is not a medical exam — it simply confirms your own judgment about your readiness.

Completing the self-attestation is required before marking yourself present for the assignment.

Contractors may cancel accepted assignments up to 48 hours before start time.

Cancellations within 48 hours, no-shows, or early departures may lead to:

• Performance points 
• Temporary or permanent loss of eligibility 
• Loss of future assignment access
   

These policies are in place to maintain service quality and protect client expectations.

Assignments can be viewed after login on the Orange Moon contractor portal under:

• Available Assignments 
• My Schedule 
• Calendar 
• Assignment Details
   

Make sure to refresh your availability and preferences regularly.

Pay for assignments is processed after completing the assignment and submitting all required reports and documentation.

For overnight assignments, payment is typically processed via Stripe by 2:00 PM the business day following a completed assignment, once deliverables are verified.
