Orange Moon Operations Guidebook

This Guidebook outlines the operational standards, expectations, and procedures for independent contractors and administrative support roles working with Orange Moon Student Safety Services.

Who This Guidebook Is For

  • Night Monitors (Independent Contractors)
  • Daytime Administrative Support
  • Night Administrative Support

Independent Contractor Framework

All Night Monitors operate as independent contractors, not employees.


Contractors:

  • Control whether to accept assignments
  • Enter binding service agreements when assignments are accepted 
  • Are accountable for completing accepted work 
  • Are not guaranteed hours or ongoing assignments

Assignment Acceptance & Commitment

  • Assignments are optional until accepted
  • Contractors may cancel accepted assignments up to 48 hours before start time 
  • Confirmation within 48 hours constitutes a binding commitment 
  • No-shows and early departures may result in loss of eligibility for future assignments

Assignment Readiness Self-Attestation

Before beginning an assignment, contractors must complete an Assignment Readiness Self-Attestation confirming they are fit, alert, and able to safely perform the assignment.


This is not a medical screening.

Reporting Requirements

  • Reports are required every 30 minutes
  • Reports must be submitted electronically 
  • Reports are a required deliverable tied to assignment completion and payment eligibility

Communication & Escalation

Contractors must:

  • Respond to platform communications
  • Notify admin immediately of issues
  • Follow escalation procedures when necessary

Appearance & Identification Standards

Contractors must meet appearance requirements for assignments.


Orange Moon specifies the required outcome (professional appearance), not the vendor or method of acquisition.

Enforcement & Eligibility

Failure to meet standards may result in:

  • Removal from future assignments
  • Loss of platform access
  • Contract non-renewal

This Guidebook is updated periodically to reflect operational needs and legal compliance.
