You are a vital part of our team. You depend on us for work assignments to help make your life and goals possible. And we depend on you to fill assignments for our customers and student travelers.
We have an open door policy. At Orange Moon, everyone should feel comfortable speaking his or her mind, particularly with respect to ethics concerns. We're here to support you and we're available in real-time. We always want to hear from you - the highs and the lows.
We want you to succeed. Set your availability and we'll send you available assignment opportunities. You can accept as many assignments that you want to work.
Be honest, accountable, respectful, and kind. Do the right thing! Treat others how you want them to treat you and those that you care about - with dignity, decency and respect.
Be on-time, every time. That means getting to work early enough, so that your parked/arrived and physically inside the building before your assignment is scheduled to start.
Do what you say you’ll do. Show up for your assignments. If you’re going to be late, let the manager know ahead of time. If you need to cancel an assignment, make sure to give at least 48 hours notice.
Be in uniform. Dress for the job. Wear black or other neutral colors with your Orange Moon vest and work badge.
Be Professional and use sound judgement. Don’t show up to work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Don’t do anything that will hurt the Orange Moon brand or the customers that we're working for—this includes posting negative things about the customer's on social media.
Not holding up your end has consequences—from disciplinary actions (like points or even removal from the network). By accepting Orange Moon assignments, you’re telling us that you read, understand and agree to our expectations. And in turn, we’re standing behind our commitment to you.
Examples of improper conduct include, but are not limited to:
Remember, improper conduct points can be given at the discretion of the Orange Moon admin for unprofessional behavior or a lack of preparedness. Please use good judgment at all times.
Please do not work an assignment if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Or if you have any of these symptoms:
If you can give at least 48 hours notice, you won’t be penalized for dropping the assignment. If you need to drop an assignment 48 hours or less from the assignment’s start time, you’ll earn one point.
Here’s how to drop your assignment so others have a chance to claim it:

As part of the Orange Moon community, we hope you can act with respect and consideration for the customers and workers in our network. Please make sure to give enough notice for everyone involved.
Being on time means arriving early enough so you’re ready to work at the assignment's start time. Typically this means 10-15 minutes early so you have time to park, greet your tour direct or group leader, and get settled for your assignment.
According to the Ethic and Business Conduct Policy, being late will result in one point. You are expected to call ahead if you’re running late. Failure to do so will result in one additional point, so if you’re late AND you didn’t call ahead, you’ll earn two points total.
If you’re running late, please take the following actions:
If the tour director asks you not to come in due to your tardiness you will not be paid for that assignment, and you will receive one point for being late.
We appreciate your commitment to Orange Moon, and want to respect the time you've set aside for your upcoming assignments.
Orange Moons customers may cancel assignments up to 24 hours before an assignment's start time. In this instance, there's nothing you need to do: when an assignment is cancelled within this time frame you will not be paid.
However, if an Orange Moon customer cancels an assignment 24 hours or less before a assignments start time you will receive payment depending on when the assignment was cancelled. Payment is calculated as follows:
If you arrive on time for a scheduled assignment and the tour director sends you home, cancelling your assignment on the spot, please do the following:
If the customer did not cancel the assignment ahead of time, and we can verify you made no mistake about the assignment location, date, and start time, you will be paid for the original assignment length.
You should never leave an assignment early without getting approval from the Orange Moon admin. If you do, you’ll receive an automatic three points.
In most situations, the best thing to do is to try to work the full assignment. However, if you do need to leave early, please speak to the Orange Moon admin on duty first.
We expect you to make your best effort to stay until a replacement can be found for you.
If handled appropriately and professionally, leaving early with approval and cooperation from the tour director and Orange Moon admin will only result in one points.
Complete and submit your report for the assignment.
Whether or not you’re paid for the original assignment length depends on the reason for early dismissal.
If you are asked to work longer hours, you DO NOT have to say yes, the decision is up to you.
If the request for additional hours is honored, you can work the longer hours and you’ll get paid for that extra time, but you DO NOT have to say yes.
We're willing to listen and take into account the circumstances surrounding any incident that resulted in points. Please be proactive in communicating any explanations or relevant documentation to the Orange Moon admin team as soon as possible to remain active in our network.
