If you find yourself running late, it's essential to take swift and appropriate action. Arriving on time entails being ready to start your assignment at its scheduled beginning. This usually means being present 10-15 minutes early, allowing for parking, interactions with the tour director or group leader, and settling in for your duties.
As per our Ethics and Business Conduct Policy, arriving late results in the assessment of one point. It's crucial to communicate if you're running behind schedule. Failing to do so will incur an additional point. Hence, being late without notifying will lead to a total of two points.

Orange Moons customers may cancel assignments anytime before an assignment's start time. In this scenario, there's no action required on your part, but you will not be compensated for cancellations with more than 2 hours notice. If there is another assignment available within your work location, you will have the opportunity to be reassigned to cover that assignment and receive full payment.
However, if an Orange Moon customer cancels an assignment within 2 hours before your assignment is set to begin or while you're en route to the assignment, and there is not another assignment within your work location, you will be compensated payment equivalent to 2 hours.
Remember, maintaining open communication with both the tour director and the Orange Moon admin team is key to ensuring a smooth resolution and minimizing any disruptions.
If there is another group at the location or nearby you will be reassigned to that group for the opportunity to earn full payment.
Otherwise, if there is not another group that you can work, make sure to finalize and submit your assignment report as usual.
The payment for the initial assignment duration varies based on the circumstances of your early dismissal.
You will receive payment for 4 hours if the tour director or group leader's decision to send you home early was not related to your behavior or performance. This includes situations like:
However, if your early dismissal was a result of specific reasons like:
In such cases, you will be compensated ONLY for the hours you worked. It's important to note that your payment will be aligned with the circumstances of your early departure. If you have any questions or concerns about your payment, feel free to reach out to the Orange Moon admin team for clarification.
If you find yourself wanting to leave an assignment early, it's important to follow the proper procedure. Never leave an assignment early without obtaining approval from the Orange Moon admin. Failure to do so will result in an automatic three-point penalty.
In most cases, it's recommended to fulfill your entire assignment. However, if there's a genuine need to leave early, please communicate with the Orange Moon admin on duty first.
We expect you to make every effort to remain until a suitable replacement can be arranged.
If you handle the situation professionally and receive approval from both the tour director and the Orange Moon admin, leaving early will incur only one point.
